Fieldtalk Participation Waiver
& Release of Liability

Participants acknowledge that soccer and other athletic activities involve inherent risks including, but not limited to, physical injury, collisions with other players or objects, weather conditions, uneven playing surfaces, and field hazards. Participation is voluntary, and participants assume all such risks.

Participants release Fieldtalk, Fieldtalk Foundation, their organizers, directors, officers, volunteers, partners, sponsors, venue operators, and any affiliated entities from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action related to injuries, damages, or losses resulting from participation in any Fieldtalk or Fieldtalk Foundation activity, including leagues, pickup games, tournaments, community events, and youth media programs.

Participant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Fieldtalk, Fieldtalk Foundation, its organizers, volunteers, partners, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to the participant's involvement in any Fieldtalk activity or any breach of these terms.

Participants authorize Fieldtalk organizers and volunteers to seek emergency medical assistance on their behalf if they are unable to do so themselves during participation in a Fieldtalk activity. Fieldtalk is not responsible for any costs associated with emergency medical treatment.

Participants grant Fieldtalk Foundation permission to photograph and record video of participants and their likeness during activities for promotional, editorial, and documentary purposes. These materials may be used on Fieldtalk's website, social media platforms, grant applications, and press releases without compensation. Participants may opt out by notifying Fieldtalk staff in writing prior to the event.

Fieldtalk reserves the right to remove any participant from leagues, pickup games, tournaments, or events for unsafe, abusive, or disruptive behavior without prior notice. Removal may occur without refund if the participant violates Fieldtalk policies or event rules. Fieldtalk's determination shall be final.

For participants under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must provide their name, contact information, and a typed digital signature as consent on behalf of the minor. Participation cannot be confirmed until parental or guardian consent is submitted and recorded. The parent or guardian accepts all terms of this waiver on behalf of the minor.

For participants under 13 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must complete registration and provide explicit consent before any personal information about the child is collected or processed. By submitting registration on behalf of a minor, the parent or guardian affirms they are the child's parent or legal guardian and consents to the collection and use of the child's information as described in our Privacy Policy. Parents and guardians may review, correct, or request deletion of their child's data at any time by contacting hello@fieldtalkfoundation.org. We do not collect children's data for advertising, and we do not share it with third parties beyond what is necessary to deliver program services.

This waiver shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising under this waiver shall be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
