What We Expect From Volunteers

Reliability & Commitment

Arrive on time for scheduled shifts. If you can't make it, notify your coordinator at least 24 hours in advance.

Positive Attitude

Bring enthusiasm, patience, and a welcoming spirit to create an inclusive environment for all participants.

Respect & Inclusion

Treat all participants, fellow volunteers, and staff with respect. We celebrate diversity and ensure everyone feels welcome.

Safety First

Follow all safety protocols, report concerns immediately, and maintain awareness of your surroundings.

Professionalism

Represent Fieldtalk Foundation positively. Wear appropriate attire and maintain professional boundaries.

Volunteer Roles & Opportunities

Session Coaches

Facilitate soccer sessions, mentor participants, and create a fun, inclusive atmosphere. No professional coaching experience required—just a love for the game!

Media Creators

Capture photos and videos to document our impact and share community stories across social media platforms.

Event Support

Help set up equipment, check in participants, manage logistics, and ensure events run smoothly.

Community Ambassadors

Spread awareness about our programs, engage with community members, and represent Fieldtalk at local events.

Safety & Important Policies

Child Safety

All volunteers working with youth must complete a background check and child safety training. Never be alone with a minor—always ensure multiple adults are present.

Injury Protocol

For any injuries, immediately notify the session coordinator. First aid kits are available at all venues. Call 911 for emergencies.

Privacy & Consent

Always obtain verbal permission before photographing participants. Never share participant personal information.

Weather Conditions

Sessions may be cancelled due to extreme heat, lightning, or heavy rain. Check your email for updates on the day of the session.

Getting Started

Step 1: Complete Your Profile

Fill out your volunteer profile with your skills, interests, and availability.

Step 2: Attend Orientation

Join a virtual or in-person orientation to learn about our programs and meet the team.

Step 3: Sign Up for Opportunities

Browse available opportunities in your volunteer portal and sign up for shifts that work for you.

Step 4: Make an Impact!

Show up, have fun, and help build community through soccer.
